ARC Raiders is Free for a Limited Time
ARC Raiders, which has garnered significant attention even before its full release, offers players an early-stage experience. This third-person, sci-fi-based extraction shooter is testing its servers one last time before its release on October 30th. Following last year’s success with The Finals, Embark Studios is now inviting players to a battlefield filled with massive machines.
ARC Raiders Server Slam Test Begins
The Server Slam event began on Friday, October 17th and will run until the evening of Sunday, October 19th. Players can participate in the test completely free of charge on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This time, you can download and play the client directly from Steam, the Epic Games Store, or the console stores, without requiring registration or a special code. Embark Studios states that this test was conducted to measure the server capacity before the game’s official release.
In this special test, ARC Raiders’ single map, “Dam Battlegrounds,” will be available. While the launch version will include four maps, only one is playable in this test. Special environmental conditions such as “Electromagnetic Storms” and “Night Raids” will also be active. It’s rumored that the Queen, a giant ARC robot and one of the most powerful enemies seen in previous tests, will also appear in this event.
The progression system is limited. Players can only complete early missions and experience low-level equipment. Crafting benches cannot be upgraded, and high-level blueprints are locked. While the aim is to test the game’s infrastructure, the content is limited, but it offers a satisfying preview of the gameplay.
With its action-packed atmosphere, impressive environmental designs, and team-focused gameplay, ARC Raiders aims to be one of this year’s most ambitious releases. If you enjoy sci-fi-themed multiplayer shooters, don’t miss the free trial this weekend.
