Assassin’s Creed Shadows May Have Been Sold Before Its Release

Although the official release date of Assassin’s Creed Shadows was set for March 20, 2025, it is reported that some physical and digital copies of the game have already reached players. Images and videos shared on social media reinforce the claims that the game is open to early access. While some players claim that they gained early access to the game due to PlayStation Network errors, it is also claimed that some physical copies were accidentally sold in stores.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Early Access Claims

Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the 14th main game in Ubisoft’s popular series, has been delayed several times before. The game, which was originally planned to be released in November 2024, was first postponed to February 14, 2025, and then to March 20, 2025. However, with only four weeks left until the game’s release, claims have emerged that some players have accessed physical and digital copies of the game.

The leaks shared include videos of the game’s main character Naoe’s battle scenes and images from the game’s menu screen. These images include details such as descriptions of the Death Whisperer weapon used by the main character and visual settings options. While some fans claim that these contents are fake and produced using quotes from previous trailers, others think that these leaks may be real.

For now, Ubisoft has not made a statement about the early access claims. However, it is suggested that physical copies may have been accidentally sold by store employees or that the game may have been accessed due to a technical glitch on the PlayStation Network.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is highly anticipated with its story set in Japan and the new Canon Mode feature. As the game’s official release date of March 20 approaches, it is unknown how these early access leaks will affect Ubisoft’s plans. Fans are waiting for an official statement from the company.
