Battlefield 6 Bot XP Tactic Will No Longer Work

Electronic Arts and Battlefield Studios have released a new update targeting the long-used bot XP tactic. It will no longer be possible to quickly earn XP in rooms filled with bots in Battlefield 6 Portal lobbies. While the update still provides players with match completion bonuses, it has disabled weapon mastery and mission completion rewards.

Battlefield 6 Update Disables XP-Gathering Bots

Since the game’s launch, portal lobbies have been one of the most popular ways for players to quickly level up and upgrade their weapons. Dedicated servers filled with bots quickly earned a large amount of experience, providing a significant advantage for some players. However, EA has taken action, stating that this method was unbalancing the Battlefield 6 experience.

With the new change, only a 150% match completion bonus will be available in lobbies with bots. Weapon progression XP, mastery levels, and mission completion points can no longer be earned in these rooms. EA states that this decision was made to maintain the game’s overall balance and competitive environment.

In a statement, EA stated, “The majority of these servers were created solely for the purpose of gaining XP and artificially inflating stats. This negatively impacted the enjoyment of players seeking the authentic Battlefield 6 experience.” The company announced that these types of lobbies will be limited and that server space will be used more fairly.

Community reactions were mixed. Many players argued that the decision will preserve the game’s competitive balance, while others noted that this change made completing weapon missions more difficult. New players, in particular, felt that progression would now take longer.

EA announced that it has taken player feedback into account and that additional improvements to the progression system will be released this week. It appears that Battlefield 6 is now looking to rebalance not only the battlefield but also a fair progression system.
