Blue Ridge Hunting has been officially announced, attracting attention in the horror-focused cooperative gameplay genre. Set in the Appalachian region, the game stands out with its mysterious creatures and investigation-focused progression. A dark forest atmosphere and folklore-based storyline form the basis of the game, as players explore alone or with friends. Player interest has quickly grown after the initial trailer.

Blue Ridge Hunting Previews and Gameplay

Blue Ridge Hunting has been announced by Six One Publishing. The development team explained that the game is being developed by Jade Meadows and will offer an Appalachian-based horror experience. Players will follow the story of Levi Chambers, either as a team of up to three players or solo. The game presents a narrative based on American legends and mysterious beings.

The game’s theme revolves around elements such as trauma, loss, and family. Elements of Appalachian folklore are directly integrated into the story. Players will track down mysterious creatures in the region and collect evidence with various equipment. Investigation, exploration, and high-stakes hunting missions form the core gameplay structure. Team coordination and the role of environmental sounds are prominent.

According to the developer’s statement, the game utilizes a retro-style PSX-like visual presentation. Voice communication is cited as a key factor in influencing creature reactions. Players can explore open areas alone or in online groups. A story-driven mode is also available for 1–3 players, featuring enemy designs based on regional legends.

The music is composed with an authentic bluegrass soundtrack that enhances the atmosphere. Blue Ridge Hunting will be released in early access, with the full version completing the story. A definitive release date has not yet been announced. A demo version is available on Steam. Additionally, a Kickstarter campaign has been announced to support the game’s development.
