Capcom Has Big Plans for Monster Hunter Wilds

Capcom has announced that it has many future innovations planned for Monster Hunter Wilds, the latest game in its beloved series. The game’s director Yuya Tokuda stated that Wilds offers a deep story that focuses not only on impressive combat mechanics, but also on the relationship between humans, nature, and monsters. Tokuda announced that new updates and content are on the way that will further develop this theme.

Monster Hunter Wilds’ Basic Theme

Monster Hunter Wilds carries a more environmentalist message compared to previous games in the series. The game’s story presents a world where hunters only hunt aggressive monsters and live in harmony with nature. Tokuda stated that they wanted to integrate this theme into the game’s gameplay and story. Players will be able to hunt uninterruptedly in a wide open world without loading screens and will be able to complete tasks without interruption for long periods of time thanks to pop-up camps.

Director Tokuda also said that players will be able to customize their hunter characters more deeply with the dialogues added to the game. However, these dialogues are designed in a way that does not affect traditional Monster Hunter gameplay. Players can explore the story in depth or move directly to the next monster if they wish.

Although the details of the content Capcom has planned for Wilds have not yet been fully disclosed, it is stated that it will deepen the main themes of the game. Tokuda said, “We wanted to add elements such as how hunters feel, think and connect with nature in this world.” In this context, Wilds aims to offer a rich story full of characters with different perspectives, such as Nata and Olivia.

Monster Hunter Wilds has already created great excitement with its release just a short while away. Capcom’s announcement that it is planning new content that will expand on this theme could make a significant contribution to the game’s long-term success.
