Collection Claim That Excites Pokemon Fans
A rumor that classic Pokemon games will be re-released for Nintendo Switch has created a lot of excitement among fans. The two collections, which will allegedly be called Pokemon Memories and Pokemon Reminiscence, will include games from the Game Boy and Game Boy Advance era. The rumor states that the collections will be released digitally during Pokemon Day on February 27, with physical copies going on sale on March 13.
What Will Pokemon Memories and Reminiscence Include?
The rumor states that the Pokemon Memories collection will include Pokemon Red, Pokemon Gold, Pokemon Ruby, and Pokemon FireRed. Pokemon Reminiscence will include Pokemon Blue, Pokemon Silver, Pokemon Sapphire, and Pokemon LeafGreen. However, special editions like Pokemon Yellow, Pokemon Crystal, and Pokemon Emerald will only be available as digital downloads.
It is also claimed that these collections will offer two-way transfer support with Pokemon Home. Thanks to this feature, players will be able to transfer Pokemon they catch in different games. For example, they will be able to transfer a Pokemon from Pokemon Go to Pokemon Ruby or a Charizard from Pokemon Shield to Pokemon Red.
Pokemon Day is held every year to celebrate the series’ release on Game Boy. Such an announcement could be a surprise that suits the meaning of the event. However, fans are advised to keep their expectations low, as some past claims have not turned out to be true.
Nintendo and The Pokemon Company have long been reluctant to re-release old games. However, re-releasing classic games for Switch could please both nostalgia lovers and new players. Until an official announcement is made, this rumor remains unconfirmed.
