Crimson Desert’s New 7-Minute Gameplay Trailer Released

The action RPG game Crimson Desert has released a new gameplay video. The video takes players through a fight with a boss character named Hexe Marie. Crimson Desert uses Pearl Abyss’ own BlackSpace Engine game engine and looks quite impressive in terms of visuals.

Crimson Desert’s Combat Mechanics Draw Attention

Crimson Desert was initially designed as an open-world MMORPG. However, during the development process, Pearl Abyss changed the game’s direction and focused on a single-player experience. This change seems to have allowed the game’s combat mechanics to be further developed. In the new gameplay video, the character’s fluid movements and various attack combinations draw attention.

Pearl Abyss has managed to maintain the graphical quality that Crimson Desert exhibited in its early demos. Although the game’s lighting effects and character models are a bit old by today’s standards, the overall visual presentation is impressive. In particular, the design and animation of the boss character Hexe Marie contributes to the game’s atmosphere.

There has been no official announcement yet regarding when Crimson Desert will be released. It is also unclear which platforms the game will support. The game is currently not listed on either Steam or the Epic Games Store. However, new information about the game is expected to be shared at The Game Awards in 2024. Crimson Desert is planned to be released in 2025.

Pearl Abyss aims to offer an ambitious action RPG experience with Crimson Desert. The game’s combat mechanics and visual quality have already attracted the attention of many players. However, the uncertainty about the release date and platform support is somewhat overshadowing the excitement of players. Pearl Abyss is expected to clarify these issues and share more details about Crimson Desert in the coming months.
