Croc: Legend of the Gobbos Remake Delayed

According to a recent statement from Argonaut Games, the remake of Croc: Legend of the Gobbos has been postponed to the first quarter of 2025. Originally scheduled to be released this month for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, the game’s release date has been moved to between January and March. The reason for the delay was that Argonaut Games wanted to further develop the game before releasing it.

Croc: Legend of the Gobbos Returns After 27 Years

Croc: Legend of the Gobbos was released for PlayStation in 1997 and was one of the most prominent productions among platform games. When the game’s remake was announced for modern platforms after 27 years, many gamers were excited.

Argonaut Games said in a statement: “After careful consideration, we have decided to delay the launch to Q1 2025. This decision was not made lightly, but we believe we need a little more time to put the finishing touches on the game. We understand that this news may come as a bit of a disappointment after 27 years of waiting, especially with the holiday season approaching. However, our goal has always been to deliver a game of a quality and polish that will truly delight you.”

While it’s disappointing that the Croc: Legend of the Gobbos remake has been delayed so late, there are other classic PlayStation games to play in December. For example, the remake of an iconic PS2-era trilogy for PS5 and PS4 is also due out this month.
