Inverge Studios, known for its Creatures of Ava franchise, has officially announced its new game, Peregrino. This survival and management-themed game, presented with an isometric camera, follows a group of pilgrims on a journey to hope in a cursed land. Players will take the lead of this group and be tasked with keeping them alive on a challenging journey to heaven.
Surviving in Peregrino will not be easy. Players will have to gather resources, manage basic needs like shelter and food, and take precautions against divine beings that emerge at night. These beings, which grow stronger with each passing night, will present not only a physical but also a psychological test.
The game’s character-driven structure is also striking. Each pilgrim possesses different skills and backgrounds. Every decision they make determines their fate, and death is permanent. The campsite, protected by a caravan system, also symbolizes hope and the last line of defense. Players must develop this area to prepare for the terrors of the night.
Designed with a 19th-century aesthetic imbued with Gothic horror elements, the game promises a unique experience for genre enthusiasts with both its atmosphere and narrative. Each playthrough will be shaped by different encounters and decisions. While a release date for Peregrino has not yet been announced, it has already become a highly anticipated release.
