Dead By Daylight Officially Announces Resident Evil Mod

Popular horror game Dead By Daylight has officially announced its long-awaited Resident Evil-themed 2v8 mode. The event will be available for a limited time from February 10th to February 25th. In the new mode, players will face twice as many participants and will feature iconic characters from the Resident Evil universe, Nemesis and Mastermind, as killers.

Resident Evil Theme and New Mechanics in Dead By Daylight

This event expands on Dead By Daylight’s classic 1v4 format, offering a gameplay experience where two killers and eight victims can play simultaneously. Nemesis and Mastermind will be joining the game with updated abilities. Mastermind will have an additional rush ability throughout the event and can use this power a total of three times. Nemesis will be present at the event with his T-virus mechanics.

In the new mode, a combined item called “Antidote” for the T-virus and Ouroboros viruses has been introduced. In addition, victims can use green herbs to heal, while yellow herbs will allow them to escape the caged state. Killer players will gain a speed boost when they find these herbs.

The new mode aims to solve long queue times between players with larger lobby sizes. The developers plan to reduce waiting times by adding two bots to lobbies during the event. This system is expected to be effective, especially to compensate for the lack of players in the victim role.

Dead By Daylight is making a first in the gaming world with this Resident Evil-themed event.
