Double Assassination Returns With Assassin’s Creed Shadows
The Assassin’s Creed double assassination skill returns after nine years with Assassin’s Creed Shadows. First introduced in Assassin’s Creed 2 in 2009, the iconic feature disappeared after Assassin’s Creed Syndicate in 2015. However, according to Ubisoft’s latest blog post, this old friend is returning to the series.
Double Assassination with Naoe in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, players will take control of a Shinobi named Naoe. Ubisoft’s blog post highlights Naoe’s ability to hide underwater, see through dense fog, and eliminate enemies from a distance with a kunai. But what’s really noteworthy is that Naoe will be able to perform a double assassination using the Hidden Blade and tanto. This marks the return of this ability for the first time in the series since 2015’s Syndicate.
In previous games in the series, this ability allowed players to silently eliminate two enemies at once. In Syndicate, Evie and Jacob Frye were the last heroes to use this ability. Now, Shinobi Naoe is taking over this role. With stealth and mastery at the center of a Shinobi’s life, the return of double assassination makes sense.
