Dragon Age The Veilguard Won’t Feature Denuvo
Recently developers announced that Dragon Age: The Veilguard will not feature the Denuvo DRM system on PC.
Dragon Age The Veilguard Without Denuvo
Originally announced as Dragon Age: Dreadwolf in 2018, Dragon Age The Veilguard will finally be released on October 31 after being in development for almost an entire decade. Dragon Age The Veilguard will be the fourth entry in the Dragon Age franchise, and BioWare seems to be working hard to offer a smooth experience for gamers, with a recent announcement pleasing prospective PC players.
BioWare’s executive producer Michael Gamble has revealed that Dragon Age The Veilguard will not include Denuvo on PC. The software is meant to make it harder for people to pirate and distribute games online, but many criticize it for negatively impacting game performance. Although this will likely be seen as a win for many fans, it comes with an unfortunate drawback: the game won’t be available for preload. Gamers who want to play The Veilguard at launch on PC will have to wait until October 31 at 9 AM PDT / 12 PM EDT to start downloading it.
This is not the first time that BioWare has shared some particularly good news with Dragon Age The Veilguard PC players. Back in July, BioWare confirmed that Dragon Age The Veilguard could be played offline and would not require EA’s launcher, causing countless fans to rejoice. The game is also Steam Deck-verified and can be easily played anywhere on Valve’s mobile platform.
BioWare has been aggressively marketing The Veilguard over the past few weeks, revealing many interesting details about the upcoming RPG’s setting, story, and mechanics. Many details about Dragon Age The Veilguard have been confirmed, such as a variety of difficulty settings, Photo Mode, and a full transmog system, allowing gamers to wear whatever armor is more powerful while still keeping the visuals they prefer.
As The Veilguard’s launch approches, it remains to be seen how successful the game will be with both longtime fans and newcomers. First impressions of Dragon Age The Veilguard’s graphics were somewhat negative, but most of what’s been shared in the months since indicates that good decisions are being made at BioWare.
