Fallout-Style MMO PIONER is Now Available for Testing
PIONER has been a long-anticipated game, and it’s finally ready for testing. Its atmosphere, world, and gameplay are said to bear a resemblance to Fallout. Now, it’s time for players to try it out. While the open beta offers players a first look, this dark MMO universe has already garnered considerable attention.
PIONER Opens to Players with Open Beta
Set in a post-apocalyptic world, PIONER is an ambitious MMO FPS that blends both PvE and PvP content. Its atmospheric and strategic approach have previously drawn comparisons to Escape from Tarkov and Fallout. Developed by GFA Games, the game is now in open beta on Steam, giving players the opportunity to experience this dark universe firsthand.
The open beta will be available on Steam until November 11th. The studio stated in a statement that this is one of the key stages before the game’s full release. Previously, closed tests with select players were conducted and received positive feedback. Now, it’s time for a much broader audience, and community feedback is crucial.
The GFA Games team consists of developers who have been involved in projects like STALKER and Atomic Heart. This explains the experience behind PIONER’s atmospheric and gritty tone. The open beta offers approximately 30 hours of content and allows players to experience the first five chapters of the story. Players get to know the factions, explore key areas, and gradually become accustomed to the world.
The beta content isn’t limited to the story. A large PvE raid, a PvP deathmatch mode, three major quests, and a world boss battle await players. This content provides a strong indication of the depth PIONER will offer in the full release. The game will be released towards the end of 2025, first on PC, then on consoles. While no release date is currently set, expectations are high.
