First Images of Sadie Sink Arrive from the Spider-Man Set
New images have emerged from the eagerly awaited Spider-Man: Brand New Day film by Marvel fans. Sadie Sink has been caught on camera for the first time while filming in England. The Stranger Things star was seen alongside director Destin Daniel Cretton, reigniting speculation about her character. However, Marvel is keeping details of her role under wraps for now.
Sadie Sink Surprise on Set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day
Spider-Man: Brand New Day, currently filming in Basingstoke, England, is considered the next major installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. New photos from the set show Sadie Sink with director Destin Daniel Cretton. While the actress’s coat conceals her full costume, the military-style trousers and boots are striking. These details have rekindled fan speculation about her character.
It hasn’t been announced who Sadie Sink will portray in the film. However, rumors have suggested names like Mary Jane Watson, Gwen Stacy, Jean Grey, and Mayday Parker. Some sources suggest Sink could be playing Frank Castle’s mysterious partner from The Punisher. While Marvel remains silent on the matter, fan theories are spreading rapidly on social media.
The only official information known about Sink’s character is that she will be “a free-spirited and intelligent woman with a mysterious past.” This description suggests a major surprise is hidden in the film’s script. There are also claims that Marvel deliberately spread misinformation to keep this character in the story a secret. If the rumors are true, Sink could be an ally of Peter Parker—but not Spider-Man.
Tom Holland stars again in the film, and in a video shared from the set, the actor shared his excitement, saying, “This is my first day shooting as Spider-Man for the fourth time. It feels different to put the suit on this time.” Zendaya (MJ) and Jacob Batalon (Ned Leeds) return to their roles, while Mark Ruffalo joins the cast as Bruce Banner/The Hulk. Director Cretton, however, raised expectations by saying, “We want to tell an emotional story in this film and present Spider-Man in a way we haven’t seen before.”
The release date for Spider-Man: Brand New Day was recently postponed from July 24, 2026, to July 31, 2026. While Sadie Sink’s role remains a mystery, these images alone have rekindled fan interest. It appears the new Spider-Man season will be quite exciting, with both old friends and new faces.
