Gears of War: E-Day was announced in June, many fans wondered if the game would be an Xbox exclusive or if there would be a PlayStation version. A month has passed and a new job listing hints at a possible release on Sony’s platform.
Gears of War: E-Day Job Posting Hints at a Possible PlayStation Release?
The Coalition has announced that Gears of War: E-Day for a senior online client engineer. According to the ad, the position will help build the multiplayer and online experience, including “in-game economies and trading, session management, player statistics, user-generated content and matchmaking.”
The ad mentions experience working with online platforms like Xbox Live, Steam, and yes, PlayStation Network (PSN) as part of the preferred qualifications for the job. While having PSN experience doesn’t confirm that the game’s PlayStation launch is guaranteed, it’s interesting enough that it’s specifically mentioned. We know the game is certain for Xbox and Steam, so it makes sense to see it on the list.
