First Steps for the Elden Ring Movie

George R.R. Martin said in an interview that “There are some talks, but it’s not clear if that will happen.” Martin had worked with FromSoftware on a mass universe creation, contributing to the history and mythology of the Elden Ring. However, the author stated that the details of this collaboration and which elements of the Elden Ring universe he developed were never fully disclosed.

FromSoftware’s head Hidetaka Miyazaki has previously stated that they are open to a film adaptation of Elden Ring. However, Miyazaki emphasized that his team does not have the knowledge to directly produce such a project and that it is necessary to work with a reliable partner. This shows that if the Elden Ring film is realized, a major studio or producer may be involved in the project.

Martin stated that he is skeptical about whether he will be able to contribute to the Elden Ring film. The biggest reason for this is the book The Winds of Winter, which he has been working on for a long time. The author explained that the delays he has experienced in this project have kept him very busy and made it difficult for him to spend time on other works.

Although there is no clear development for the Elden Ring film yet, players and fans are very excited about the possibility of this adaptation. We will all see how the collaboration between FromSoftware and George R.R. Martin will be reflected in the world of cinema.
