Ghost Rider Puts an End to Avengers: Doomsday Rumors

The Ghost Rider rumors, which Marvel fans have been speculating about for a long time, have finally been addressed. Gabriel Luna, who plays the character in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., addressed the rumors that he will appear in Avengers: Doomsday in a recent interview. While Luna stated that he is open to returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he also stated that there are no current plans.

Gabriel Luna: “I’m Always Ready to Play Ghost Rider Again”

Avengers: Doomsday is being touted as one of the biggest Marvel films ever. The film, with its multiverse-centric story, will bring together characters from different universes, including the X-Men. However, rumors suggest that Ghost Rider will also be a part of this cast. Gabriel Luna addressed these rumors in an interview with ComicBook Movie, saying, “I love this character, I love that world. If someone ever needs me, my number is known.”

Luna also expressed his love for Robbie Reyes, whom he played in the fourth season. The actor stated that fans still consider that season the best, saying, “It makes me so happy that even after all these years, people still find that season special.” He added that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Chloe Bennet and Clark Gregg also praised Luna’s performance.

While no official announcement has been made regarding Ghost Rider’s appearance in Doomsday, Marvel’s plan to expand its “supernatural heroes” side is ongoing. Projects like Blade, Werewolf by Night, and the potential Midnight Sons project could pave the way for Ghost Rider’s return.

Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled for release on December 18, 2026. Gabriel Luna’s return isn’t confirmed yet, but the actor’s openness keeps fans hopeful. The dark side of the Marvel universe seems poised to rekindle.
