God of War Ragnarok PC has made it’s launch and reviews are not great recently.
God of War Ragnarok PC Reviews
God of War Ragnarok earned rave reviews at the time of its release, with many hailing it as one of the best video games ever made. Combine this with the fact that the 2018 God of War was a big hit on PC, and it’s no surprise that many fans on the platform have been anxiously awaiting the sequel. Unfortunately, God of War Ragnarok’s PC release has not gone as smoothly as Sony may have hoped.
PC gamers has made a lot of negative comments about PC port. The main issue that PC gamers have with God of War Ragnarok is that it requires purchasers to have a PlayStation Network account to play. This is an inconvenience for many PC gamers, and it seems especially unnecessary for a single player game like Ragnarok.
God of War Ragnarok has also received plenty of positive reviews on Steam, with those users judging the game for its actual content. Almost all the negative reviews seem to be focused squarely on the PSN account requirement, though there are also those who aren’t happy about God of War Ragnarok’s massive file size, requiring over 100 GB on PC.
This isn’t the first time that God of War Ragnarok has been review bombed. In the year of its release, God of War Ragnarok was review bombed on Metacritic seemingly because some thought it would give Elden Ring a better chance at winning Game of the Year at The Game Awards. Ragnarok’s user score on Metacritic eventually bounced back, and so it’s quite possible the same will happen for the game on Steam.
Despite the negative comments, God of War Ragnarok eventually made it’s launch on PC and other problems would be solved in time.
