Gothic Classic Trilogy Coming to Consoles
The Gothic series is one of those classic RPG experiences that fans have long been clamoring for. After years on PC, it’s finally making its way to consoles. The three games brought together under the Gothic Classic Trilogy—Gothic Classic, Gothic II Complete Classic, and Gothic 3 Classic—will be released on PlayStation and Xbox platforms in 2026. This announcement, confirmed by THQ Nordic, marks a significant milestone as it will bring the Gothic universe to consoles for the first time.
Gothic Classic Trilogy Coming to Consoles in 2026
The wait is over for Gothic fans. THQ Nordic has announced that Gothic Classic, Gothic II Complete Classic, and Gothic 3 Classic will be released in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. This will mark the first time the Gothic universe has been fully brought to consoles. Players can revisit the Nameless Hero’s adventure with updated controls and full gamepad support.
Originally released for Switch, Gothic Classic and Gothic II Complete Classic offered players a portable RPG experience. Now, with the addition of Gothic 3 Classic, these titles will be offered to console players as a comprehensive content package. This package promises over 100 hours of classic RPG content in a single box.
Gothic Classic allows players to choose between three different factions and influence the flow of the game with their decisions. Set in a living world, the game offers a dynamic atmosphere with the characters’ daily routines. Gothic II Complete Classic further deepens the experience with over 500 characters, 100 quests, and the “Night of the Raven” expansion.
Gothic 3 Classic will introduce expansive, open-world environments and new enemy types to the series. While details have not yet been released, this release will allow players to explore the lands of Myrtana more freely. All of this content will be adapted for console players with updated interfaces and controls.
