Halle Berry May Appear in Avengers: Doomsday

Avengers: Doomsday, one of the most anticipated projects in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is already dominating the news with rumors. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, the film will be released in 2026, followed by Avengers: Secret Wars in 2027. However, one rumor that’s already garnering attention is that a character fans have long wanted to see could return.

Halle Berry’s Possibility of Storm

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight recently, Alan Cumming, when asked whether Halle Berry would return as Storm (Ororo Munroe), offered a rather intriguing response, though he didn’t offer a definitive answer. “Maybe,” Cumming said, leaving the possibility open, and admitted that he had previously been reprimanded for revealing spoilers for the film. This further fueled the rumors.

While Halle Berry’s return hasn’t yet been confirmed, the film has been confirmed to feature several X-Men characters. It’s known that Patrick Stewart will return as Professor X, Ian McKellen as Magneto, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, James Marsden as Cyclops, and Kelsey Grammar as Beast. Channing Tatum’s long-awaited return as Gambit has also generated considerable buzz.

Berry had previously expressed interest in reprising her role as Storm, but stated that she hadn’t received any offers for Deadpool & Wolverine. Therefore, the Doomsday rumors are exciting fans. If Berry is indeed involved, the film could attract attention with both its nostalgic and massive star cast.

Avengers: Doomsday, poised to be one of Marvel Studios’ biggest projects, will be released in the US on December 18, 2026. Avengers: Secret Wars will hit the big screen a year later, on December 17, 2027. In this process, it remains a matter of curiosity whether there will be an official statement regarding Storm’s return.
