Hayley Atwell Voices Lara Croft in Tomb Raider Series

Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft is set to premiere on Netflix on October 10 with a trailer for the new fully animated series. The series was announced in 2021, and it is finally clear who will voice Lara Croft in this production.

Hayley Atwell, best known for her role as Peggy Carter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, will voice the iconic character. Tomb Raider fans praised Netflix for Atwell’s casting and agreed that she voices Lara Croft perfectly.

On October 10, 2024, a new version of Lara Croft will debut on Netflix in a special animated series voiced by Hayley Atwell. The character of Lara Croft has been played by Camilla Luddington since the Tomb Raider reboot in 2013. Luddington also successfully voiced the character in Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

On the big screen, Angelina Jolie’s Lara Croft performance was considered unforgettable for a long time. However, Alicia Vikander also successfully portrayed the character in the 2018 movie Tomb Raider. Now Hayley Atwell has been entrusted with this important role for eight episodes of the first season of The Legend of Lara Croft.

This new animated series is considered a “reboot” or reinterpretation of Lara Croft in another universe.
