Ire: A Prologue Announced

Developed by ProbablyMonsters, this suspenseful narrative game draws players onto a mysterious ship and into a repetitive loop. Inspired by 80s horror cinema, the game stands out with its dark atmosphere and clever monster. Ire: A Prologue will be released for PC on October 28th via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

The Loop of Horror Begins with Ire: A Prologue

Ire: A Prologue follows a young girl, Emily, as she searches for her missing father. This quest leads her to an abandoned ship in the Bermuda Triangle. To uncover the truths hidden behind 13 doors within the ship, players must embark on a cyclical journey of terror. However, throughout this process, an intelligent and deadly creature constantly stalks the player.

The game delivers a classic cat-and-mouse tension with its mechanics of hiding and distraction. Emily’s age allows her to hide in tight spaces, attract attention with sound, and survive through interactive environmental elements. However, the creature also becomes more intelligent with each iteration, making each iteration more stressful and tactical.

The goal of the game isn’t simply survival; it’s about gathering new clues and unraveling what happened on the ship. Journals, tapes, and various artifacts gradually reveal the story left behind by the missing crew. In this context, the game offers a powerful narrative experience alongside classic horror elements.

Ire: A Prologue was developed with Unreal Engine 5 and aims to deepen the atmosphere with both visuals and sound design. This game is just the beginning of a larger story set in the Ire universe. This universe, which begins with Emily’s story, is expected to expand with much broader and darker narratives in the future.
