James Gunn Responds Harshly to Batman 2 Reactions
There is great anticipation for the Batman 2 film, but some fans are complaining that the process is progressing slowly. While criticisms that director Matt Reeves has not been able to complete the script spread rapidly on social media, DCU leader James Gunn broke his silence and gave a strong response to the claims.
Work on Batman 2 Script Continues
James Gunn emphasized in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that he has full confidence in Matt Reeves for Batman 2. Stating that he expects the script to be delivered this month, Gunn said, “We are in constant communication with Matt. We are all very excited about the project. We haven’t read the script yet, but we hope to have the first draft soon.”
Gunn responded very clearly to fans’ claims that the delay of The Batman 2 also affected The Brave and the Bold project. Gunn, who was angry at the reactions on social media, made a harsh statement by saying, “Stop picking on Matt. Let the man do his job at his own pace. You loved that movie because of his style. You can’t dictate what he does.”
Gunn had recently announced that he had canceled a project whose quality he was not sure of. Some rumors suggested that this cancellation was related to Batman 2, but Gunn also refuted this speculation. He stated that the canceled movie was a different project and that Batman 2 was still progressing as planned.
Batman 2’s release date was previously announced as October 2, 2026. However, with the latest update, the movie has been postponed to October 1, 2027. If Matt Reeves completes the script and receives James Gunn’s approval, the new Batman movie will meet its fans.
