Lost Script of Battlefield Bad Company 3 Found
Battlefield Bad Company 3 writer David Goldfarb announced that he found a draft of the script that had been hidden in the archives for years. In a post on social media, Goldfarb stated that some parts of the script were surprisingly similar to today. Although the game was never developed, the details in the draft sparked great curiosity among fans.
What Was in the Battlefield Bad Company 3 Screenplay?
According to Goldfarb, the script includes events that are a sequel to Battlefield Bad Company 2. In the story, tensions between Russia and the US increase and Russia seizes a part of Alaska. Goldfarb said, “I found the first three pages of the script and added details like a store called ‘Adiosvidaniya’. Now it scares me to see how true these could be.”
Goldfarb stated that the script was written by his own efforts rather than an official work for the game. “We never went to the storyboard stage, I just wrote it myself,” he said. It was striking that the political and military elements in the draft were similar to current world events.
The Battlefield Bad Company series has become a fan favorite, especially with its humorous tone and strong story. However, after the second game in the series was released in 2010, a sequel was never developed. While fans have been waiting for a third game in the series for years, this draft script has rekindled expectations for a possible sequel.
DICE and EA are reviving the Battlefield series with a modern approach. A short trailer released for Battlefield 6 suggests that the series will continue with more contemporary themes. However, no official statement has been made on whether or not Battlefield Bad Company 3 will be in development. The scenario that Goldfarb came up with has sparked great interest among both old fans of the series and new players. Is it possible to return to the Bad Company universe? This remains an unanswered question for now.
