Lost Xbox Series X Exclusive Game Still Alive
Announced years ago for the Xbox Series X and since then quiet, it has been revealed that this special game is actually still in development. It was thought to have been shelved following Xbox layoffs and project cancellations in recent months. However, the fact that the studio is still searching for staff for this project suggests, contrary to rumors, that the game is still alive. The reason for the project’s slow progress is currently unknown.
Xbox Series X Game Contraband Continues Development
First announced on June 13, 2021, this mysterious game is a “co-op smuggling game” called Contraband, developed in collaboration with Avalanche Studios and Xbox Game Studios. The lack of any new information since the announcement led players to believe it had been canceled. However, the studio’s hiring announcements paint a different picture.
Avalanche Studios is currently hiring for senior positions on this project. This suggests both ongoing development and likely some changes within the team. It’s highly likely that development is still in its early stages.
Despite this, neither Avalanche Studios nor XboxGame Studios have made any official announcements. The game’s development status or when it will be re-released remains a mystery. However, even these small signs of ongoing development are enough to give fans hope.
If this silence is replaced by concrete information, Xbox players will finally learn more about this eagerly awaited game. For now, all we can do is wait and hope.
