According to a new promotional video shared by Nintendo, Luigi’s Mansion will now be available for Switch Online subscribers. This pack offers a special library of GameCube, Nintendo 64, and Game Boy Advance games, and Luigi’s Mansion will be one of the highlights of this collection.
Released in 2001, the game follows Mario’s brother Luigi’s mysterious adventures in a ghost mansion. Luigi, who catches ghosts with his famous Poltergust 3000 broomstick, also struggles to find his brother and friends. The game’s delicate balance between humor and suspense has made it one of the most unique spin-off series in Nintendo history.
The series’ recent surge in popularity is also noteworthy. Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD was re-released for Switch in 2024, receiving acclaim for its high-resolution visuals. The final installment of the main series, Luigi’s Mansion 3, was a huge success in 2019. This addition is seen as a step toward reviving the series.
