Marvel Venom PS5 Game Almost Finished
Venom, conceived as a spin-off game in Marvel’s Spider-Man series, was first revealed in a major Insomniac Games leak in 2023. At the time, it was claimed that the game would release in 2025. However, the fact that an official announcement has yet to be made raises questions about its future.
New Claims About the Marvel Venom PS5 Game
Redacted Guy, known for his leaks, has claimed that the game’s development is actually quite advanced. According to the claims, Venom’s combat mechanics, movement system, and story are complete. It’s also stated that motion capture and dialogue recordings for Tony Todd, who voices the character, have been completed. This suggests the game is being prepared for a 2025 release.
Despite this, the possibility that the major leak forced PlayStation and Insomniac Games to cancel the project has also been raised. Venom’s “small-scale” nature may have facilitated this decision. However, another claim suggests that there is no cancellation, merely a postponement of the studio’s plans. In this scenario, the game could have been pushed back to 2026.
The silence surrounding Venom is also evident in Marvel’s Wolverine project. Insomniac Games’ long absence of new information on both games may indicate that the studio is in a busy development phase. In other words, the silence supports the possibility of a delay rather than a cancellation. However, it’s impossible to say for sure until an official announcement is made.
As there has been no confirmation from Marvel or PlayStation, all of this information remains rumored for now. The game is expected to be officially announced sometime this year. However, if this doesn’t happen, the possibility of Venom being canceled seems to be increasingly prevalent.
