Marvel Zombies Coming to Disney+ Earlier Than Expected

Marvel Studios’ Marvel Zombies series for Disney+ will premiere earlier than planned, according to a recent announcement. According to Collider, an interview with the series’ producer revealed that the release date has been moved from October 3, 2025, to September 24, 2025. While the reason for this change was not disclosed, it was stated that all episodes will be released simultaneously on the platform.

Marvel Zombies Plot and Cast

Marvel Zombies takes the Marvel Cinematic Universe to a new level, with its story set in an alternate reality. A new generation of heroes fights against a rapidly spreading zombie invasion. The production features a voice cast familiar to Marvel fans.

The cast includes Awkwafina (Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings) as Katey, David Harbour (Thunderbolts*) as Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian, Simu Liu (Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings) as Shang-Chi, Elizabeth Olsen (WandaVision) as Scarlet Witch, Randall Park (WandaVision) as Jimmy Woo, Florence Pugh (Thunderbolts*) as Yelena Belova, Hailee Steinfeld (Hawkeye) as Kate Bishop, Dominique Thorne (Ironheart) as Riri Williams, and Iman Vellani (The Marvels) as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel. Hudson Thames (What If…?) portrays Spider-Man.

The series is directed by Bryan Andrews, with Zeb Wells writing and executive producing. Marvel Zombies, “What If…?” It was inspired by the fifth episode of the first season of the Marvel series. This episode depicted the events of Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018) and Avengers: Infinity War (2018) culminating in a zombie apocalypse.

The producers state that the series will feature “harder” and “pretty crazy” zombie scenes. With the new release date, Marvel Zombies fans will have a shorter wait than planned.
