Microsoft Adds 400 Games to Xbox App for Windows PC
Microsoft’s Xbox app for Windows has received one of its biggest updates to date. The update adds nearly 400 previously unavailable games to the app. It also introduces a new Home menu that was tested this year.
Quick Access to Xbox App with New Home Menu
The new Home menu is one of the biggest feature additions to the Xbox PC app yet. From the Home tab, you’ll be able to see major new game releases, special events, new games added to the Xbox Game Pass library, and special offers. For those using portable gaming devices, the menu also includes a “Continue Where You Left Off” feature that lets you quickly jump back into a game you’ve recently played.
Microsoft says this update is part of its effort to “bring all PC games with Xbox features to the Xbox app.” The 400 games added include “dozens of games” from mobile game developers like Kemco and Kairosoft, as well as the beloved retro platformer Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove from Yacht Club Games and the multiplayer party game Jackbox Party Pack.
Microsoft has emphasized its commitment to continuing to improve and expand the Xbox app for Windows. It aims to test “a variety of new features” in the coming months. The improvement and development of the Xbox PC app bodes well for its future.
