New Launch Mode for Cyberpunk 2077

While Cyberpunk 2077 offered players a variety of openings with different life paths, it’s been four years since the game’s release and many players have exhausted all of those experiences. Now, Cyberpunk 2077 modder Deceptious has come up with New Start, a brand new mod that changes that. This mod completely transforms the beginning of the game and gives players a fresh experience in Night City.

Cyberpunk 2077 New Mod: A Different Start

Deceptious’ New Start mode introduces a scenario where V, the main character in Cyberpunk 2077, returns to the game. The mode starts in a world where V has already met Jackie, Misty and Vik, giving players a faster start. The mod combines both the Corpo and Nomad lifeways, giving players a different experience, but doesn’t completely change the storylines that remain tied to the game’s original openings.

Deceptious has stated that the dialog for this new mode is not AI-generated, but rather is created by combining existing dialog from other parts of the game. Thus, a new story was created with existing lines from the game files. Considering that Deceptious has developed immersive modes in the past, it’s safe to say that the New Start mode will be similarly impressive.
