Nintendo Announces Accessories While We Wait for Switch 2
Nintendo has unveiled a new Switch accessory called the 2-Way Joy-Con Charging Stand, which will hit shelves on October 17th. This new peripheral allows players to charge their Joy-Con without plugging it into their Switch console.
Nintendo Announces New 2-Way Joy-Con Stand
The innovative Joy-Con Charging Stand is designed to appeal to a variety of user preferences. Its versatile design allows you to choose between raising it up or laying it flat, providing flexibility to suit your space and needs. A game-changer for users with multiple Joy-Cons, this accessory offers the convenience of charging one pair while keeping another set ready for local multiplayer games. With this stand, you can keep the fun going without interruption.
We’ll also be able to use this stand to charge Switch Nintendo Entertainment System controllers, but no price has been announced yet.
Gamers’ Concerns about Delayed Launch
Given that the Nintendo Switch console has been out for seven years, the delayed release of this accessory raises concerns that we may have to wait longer for Switch 2. Furthermore, numerous third-party manufacturers have released similar accessories with improved Joy-Con support over the years. Given the delayed release, we wonder if this accessory will be compatible with the anticipated Switch 2’s Joy-Cons.
