Additionally, Samus and Vi-O-La amiibo figures will be released on November 6th, and the amiibo of the mysterious bounty hunter Sylux will be released on December 4th. For those who can’t wait, a special book titled Metroid Prime 1-3: A Visual Retrospective will be available on October 28th.
Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave Coming in 2026
Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave was announced during the grand finale of the Nintendo Direct, and the game will be released in 2026. The trailer introduced characters like Cai, who is trying to save his father; Dietrich, who stands out with her powerful sword; Queen Theodora; and Leda, who can’t control her anger. The Divine Sovereign, who grants wishes at the end of the grand tournament called “Heroic Games,” will play a key role in the story.
Donkey Kong Bananza DLC Released
The DK Island and Emerald Rush expansion packs for Donkey Kong Bananza are available to players today. Super Mario Galaxy Bundle Coming
Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2 will be re-released in a single bundle on October 2, 2025. Playable on Switch and Switch 2, this version will feature enhanced visuals, a new interface, a music player, and key or motion control options. A free 4K update will also be available for Switch 2 owners. The Mario & Luma and Rosalina & Lumas amiibo will also be available on April 2, 2026.

Yoshi and the Mysterious Book Unveiled
Yoshi embarks on a brand new adventure when a mysterious book falls from the sky. This book, named Mr. E, cannot write down what it sees and asks Yoshi for help. Everything you discover in the game is recorded in the book; for example, you learn that dandelions can crack rocks. The game will be released for Switch in spring 2026.
Nintendo Brings Back the Virtual Boy
In a completely unexpected move, Nintendo is re-releasing the Virtual Boy. This model, which can be connected to the Switch and Switch 2, will support 14 classic games like Mario’s Tennis and Galactic Pinball. The physical model will be available for $99.99, while the cardboard version will be available for $24.99 on February 17, 2026.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A DLC Announced
