Nintendo Switch 2 Allegedly Won’t Launch in 2025

Nintendo Switch 2, which is highly anticipated in the gaming world, will not be released in fiscal year 2025. New claims show that the console’s expected release date has been postponed.

Nintendo Switch 2 Release Date Claims

Christopher Dring, head of games at GameIndustry.biz, shared new information about the next Nintendo console on the latest episode of GI Microcast. “None of the developers I’ve spoken to expect it to launch in this fiscal year, in fact they’ve been told not to expect it in this fiscal year,” Dring said. This statement confirms rumors that the Nintendo Switch 2 will not launch in fiscal year 2025. However, according to Dring, some developers are hoping for the console to launch in April or May 2025.

While there is no launch during the fiscal year, it is expected that the console will be officially unveiled during this period. Nintendo’s fiscal year runs from April 1 to March 31, which means that the console could be unveiled in fiscal 2025, but its release could be delayed until later.

Nintendo has yet to officially comment on these rumors.
