According to the news, which Jez Corden based on his sources, it was announced that the game is “safe for now” and is not among the canceled projects. This means that OD is progressing without any disruptions in the current process.

The news also stated that Xbox is also investigating other projects. The fate of the Contraband project, which is said to be a heist-themed game developed by Avalanche studio, is still uncertain. The game’s trailer has been removed from Xbox’s official YouTube channel. It is stated that this situation may be due to a technical detail regarding the license period.

As is known, the recent layoffs at Xbox have affected many studios. Many developers, from the Call of Duty teams to Turn 10 and High Moon, have been harmed by this process. In addition, Everwild, Perfect Dark and Zenimax’s MMORPG project were among the canceled games. The fact that OD continues on its path despite all these developments also reveals the trust in the project.
