PS5 March 2025 Update Details

According to the patch notes shared by Sony, the following changes and improvements have been made with the March 2025 update:

  • Event Cards Update: Details about events can now be viewed on cards in a more accessible way. However, potentially spoiler-containing information continues to be hidden.
  • New Unicode 16.0 Emojis: New emojis that can be used during messaging have been added with the update.
  • Parental Controls: Restrictions set to “Late Teen and Above” level in parental control settings activate the “Restrict Communications and User Content” option by default. Users who previously selected this level will have their settings remain unchanged as “Customize”.
  • System Performance and Stability Improvements: Performance and stability of the system software have been improved in general.
  • User Interface Updates: Messages and ease of use have been improved on some screens.

On the other hand, the “Continue Activity” function, which was previously available in the Activity Cards feature, was quietly removed last year, so it is not included in this update either.

Sony aims to make the device more efficient with such regular updates for PS5 users. The March 2025 update stands out with its innovations, especially regarding parental controls and activity details. In addition, support for Unicode 16.0 emojis makes the messaging experience more enjoyable.

Although the update is still being released gradually in some regions, it will be available to all PS5 users soon. Make sure your PS5 is connected to the internet to update the system software and start enjoying the latest features.
