Resident Evil Requiem Story Details Revealed

Resident Evil Requiem, the ninth installment in Capcom’s legendary series, will not only be a new chapter but also the finale of all the numbered installments. Dusk Golem, known for his leaks, has claimed that the game will both conclude all events related to Umbrella and Raccoon City and take the series on a completely new path. With new characters, different horror elements, and stories unconnected to the series’ past, the Resident Evil universe will enter a new era.

The Final Curtain Raises on Resident Evil Requiem

According to the information shared, Requiem will conclude the main storyline that began with RE1, RE2, and RE0. For many years, Capcom’s reliance on Umbrella and Raccoon City as the storyline created certain limitations. This final installment will sever those ties, allowing the creative team to develop a more independent narrative.

One of the most striking details in the leak is that the giant female monster seen in the first trailer is actually Grace’s mother, Alyssa. Grace, as an FBI Technical Analyst, is competent enough to recognize her own mother, but coming to terms with this truth won’t be easy at first. This encounter will create a dramatic and emotional turning point in the game.

Dusk Golem also stated that Resident Evil Requiem won’t be “purely a horror game.” The game is said to feature fast-paced cinematic action scenes alongside its horror elements. This approach will both maintain the series’ traditional suspenseful atmosphere and achieve a pace that will appeal to a wide audience.
