But what makes the anticipation even more exciting are new claims about the game made by renowned leakster Dusk Golem. According to the information shared, the game will bring significant improvements to the series in both visual and gameplay, offering players a completely different experience.

Resident Evil: Requiem’s Innovative Gameplay Details

According to Dusk Golem, the game will utilize a new light and shadow engine. Furthermore, an advanced hair engine from Pragmata will enhance the visual realism of the characters and environments. One of the most striking innovations will be the ability to instantly switch between first- and third-person perspectives during certain sections of the game.

Resident Evil: Requiem Will Offer Last of Us-Style Action

Certain areas of Raccoon City will feature an open-world-like design, requiring players to use vehicles. This will allow for quick access to different parts of the city. Furthermore, the AI system will be fully dynamic, with enemies behaving differently at any given moment, making each encounter unique.

Leon’s combat mechanics will feature a cinematic and tactical system similar to The Last of Us Part 2. Grace’s levels will be enhanced with puzzles based on environmental interactions and the balance of light and dark. This will require players to adapt to different play styles.

The inclusion of an image of Alice’s motorcycle scene from the Resident Evil film series in Dusk Golem’s posts suggests that a similar mode of transportation may be included in the game. The accuracy of all these details will be revealed at Gamescom 2025 Opening Night on August 19th.
