Starfield PS5 Version May Be Announced in 2026
NateTheHate, a well-known gaming leaker, stated on social media that the announcement of Starfield’s PS5 version “won’t come until 2026.” The insider, who previously stated that “there was an intention,” has now stated that the plans have been postponed. This statement means that players will have to wait a little longer for the long-awaited multi-platform news.
Previous reports claimed that Starfield would be coming to PS5 in spring 2026. Microsoft has never denied these rumors. In fact, Xbox executive Phil Spencer stated in recent months that “it doesn’t make sense to lock any game to just one platform,” emphasizing that games should be playable everywhere possible. This comment was interpreted by many players as an indirect confirmation that Starfield would be coming to PS5.
Bethesda, meanwhile, has been focused on new content plans in recent weeks. The studio hinted at a new content called “Terran Armada” during the game’s anniversary celebration. The development team has also made several references to Starfield’s next expansion, but hasn’t released any official details. Bethesda appears to be focusing on enhancing the game’s current version before its PS5 release.
