Steam Game Recording Feature Available for All Users
Steam‘s long-awaited Game Recording feature is now available for all users. This built-in system allows players to record videos and images directly from Steam and share them instantly. New features include Background Recording, Replay, Clips and Sharing.
Steam Game Recording Feature Now Available
Steam’s Game Recording system offers a wide range of customization when recording. With Background Recording, players can save footage to the drive of their choice based on the time and storage limits they set. Replay allows players to rewind time to catch up on missed moments. Additionally, the new Clips feature allows players to clip specific footage and easily share them between Steam Deck, mobile, or desktop devices with the Share feature.
Steam has also added a timeline feature to the Game Recording system. Synchronized with in-game event markers, user-added tags, and game modes, this timeline allows players to easily edit footage. Additionally, with Steam Overlay support, these features also work for non-Steam games, but only in-game footage is saved.
