Stellar Blade: Complete Edition Details
Stellar Blade will launch a Complete Edition for both PlayStation 5 and PC, adding new outfits, an additional boss fight, and more to the game.
New Edition for Stellar Blade
Earlier this week, Sony leaked the PC launch date for Stellar Blade through a trailer that was uploaded to the official PlayStation YouTube channel. The trailer was presumably made public prematurely, as it was taken down shortly thereafter, but it is now available for viewing again. While it reveals much about what visual and performance options will be available for the PC version of the game, it also confirms the PC release date is scheduled for June 11.
Along with that release date confirmation present in the trailer, Gematsu reports that this release will be the game’s Complete Edition, and that it will be available on both platforms. Those who already own the version of the game originally released for PlayStation 5 won’t have to worry about making additional purchases, as the additional content will be added through a free update. This version of the game includes 25 new Stellar Blade Nano Suits, a new boss fight, and voiceover options for Japanese and simplified Chinese, along with updated facial animations that will sync with whichever vocal track players are using.
Some of the additions in the upcoming edition of the game had been announced as early as February, though they had originally been teased as arriving in an upcoming DLC for Stellar Blade. This initial reveal, which included crossover content with Goddess of Victory: Nikke and was shown off at the State of Play presentation on February 12, showed that the DLC had also been slated for a June release. However, reveals for the Complete Edition indicate that the content planned for release in the June DLC will be provided in the new edition of the game, alongside the Nier: Automata crossover content that was added last November.
Players can also look forward to a new Stellar Blade boss fight as they face off against Sentil leader Mann. According to the PlayStation Blog, Mann, who is also the bodyguard of Orcal and guardian of Xion, will arrive to test Eve’s worthiness using his combat expertise and mastery of weapons. Conquering Mann in combat also appears to be the method required to unlock one of the Complete Edition’s new Nano Suits.
