The much-anticipated Summer Game Fest 2025 has come to an end, exciting players with many big announcements. The event, which lasted over two hours, featured the official reveal of Resident Evil 9, a new expansion for Lies of P, and more. Here are all the announcements you shouldn’t miss:

Resident Evil Requiem Announced
Capcom has finally officially unveiled Resident Evil 9, and the game is called “Resident Evil Requiem.” The game, which will be released on February 27, 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, draws attention with its new tone and emphasis on “cinematic high-stakes action.”
Lies of P: Overture Released Today
The “Overture” expansion pack, which tells the prequel story of the Souls-like action RPG Lies of P, was surprisingly released today. Players will be able to return to Krat City and discover what happened in this new chapter.
Dying Light: The Beast Release Date Announced
Techland has released a new gameplay trailer for Dying Light: The Beast, as well as announcing that the game will be released on August 22, 2025. This standalone story sees players return as the original hero, Kyle Crane.
Wu-Tang: Rise of the Deceiver Announced
Set in the Wu-Tang Clan universe and featuring an afro-surreal anime vibe, this new game will see players fight alongside Wu-Tang members to save Shaolin. The game features both classic Wu-Tang tracks and new music by DJ Just Blaze.
New Trailer for Onimusha: Way of the Sword
The new trailer shown at Summer Game Fest provided a closer look at the bloody and brutal combat system of Onimusha: Way of the Sword. The game stands out with its action blended with classic Japanese martial arts.
Game of Thrones: War for Westeros Announced
The new real-time strategy game War for Westeros will give players the chance to control the great houses of Westeros or the Night King. The fate of the seven kingdoms will be in the hands of players with both single-player and multiplayer modes.
Arc Raiders Coming in October
Embark Studios announced that Arc Raiders will be released on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S platforms on October 30, 2025. The game stated that details about the upcoming release will be shared later.
Mads Mikkelsen Returns to Hitman
IO Interactive has added Mads Mikkelsen’s Le Chiffre as an “Elusive Target” in a special update for Hitman World of Assassination. Players can prepare to hunt down this Bond villain.
Scott Pilgrim EX Announced
Bryan Lee O’Malley returns to the Scott Pilgrim universe with an all-new co-op brawler. Scott Pilgrim EX retains its classic 2D look and will be released on PC, Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
Mortal Shell 2 Revealed for the First Time
Mortal Shell 2, the soulslike sequel to Cold Symmetry, has been introduced with its gory and fast-paced combat. The game will be available in 2026 with a wider range of weapons and free exploration.
Killer Inn: New Social Game from Square Enix
Killer Inn drops players into a mansion and sets off a deadly struggle between “Wolves” and “Lambs.” In this team-based social deduction game, you’ll struggle to survive with friends you’ll have difficulty trusting.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach Trailer Released
Neil (Luca Marinelli) and Lucy (Alissa Jung) were at the center of the new Death Stranding 2 trailer from Summer Game Fest 2025. The game will be released exclusively on PS5 on June 26, 2025.
Wildgate Coming in July
Wildgate, a space-themed shooter from Moonshot Games, a former Blizzard developer, is coming out on July 22, 2025. The open beta test will be available for free on all platforms from June 9-16.
Stranger Than Heaven is Official
Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has announced the name of the project, previously known as “Project Century”, as Stranger Than Heaven. The game will be detailed with the platforms it will be released on in the future.
Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree Introduced
Bandai Namco has announced the Hades-like action game Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree. The game will be released on September 19, 2025 for PC, Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Brings Surprise Guests
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will feature guest racers such as Hatsune Miku, Ichiban Kasuga (Like a Dragon), Joker from Persona 5, and Steve from Minecraft. This unexpected crossover will add color to the races.
