Take-Two CEO Hints at GTA 6 PC Version
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick emphasized the growing importance of the PC platform in his statements about GTA 6. Although GTA 6 has currently only been announced for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, Zelnick’s statements hint that the PC version of the game may be released in the future. However, considering Rockstar Games’ past policies, it is thought that the PC version may come after the console version.
Is GTA 6 PC Happening?
In an interview with IGN, Strauss Zelnick emphasized the importance of the platform by stating that PC now accounts for 40% of game sales. However, he stated that Take-Two and Rockstar generally do not release simultaneously on all platforms. For example, he stated that Civilization 7 was released simultaneously on all platforms, while other games follow a different strategy.
Rockstar’s past examples also support this situation. For example, while GTA 5 was released on consoles in 2013, PC players had to wait until 2015. It is thought that a similar approach could be adopted for GTA 6.
Zelnick said that they expect a big increase in console sales with the release of GTA 6. Stating that the 2025 game calendar is quite busy, the CEO stated that not only GTA 6 but also other games will contribute to this increase.
Although no official statement has been made regarding the PC version of GTA 6, the fact that Take-Two is considering the growing importance of the PC creates hope among fans. While the game is expected to be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in the fall of 2025, it is currently unclear when the PC version will arrive.
