Take-Two Removes GTA 6 Map
Leaked information and trailer images about GTA 6 are increasing fans’ interest in the game every day. A modder who wanted to meet this interest developed a project that would allow players to explore by adapting the GTA 6 map to GTA 5. However, this fan-made map was quickly removed from publication due to Take-Two’s rapid intervention. The owner of the project, the modder named “Dark Space”, stated that he prepared this work based entirely on community projects. Despite this, Take-Two targeted the project through legal means and removed the videos from YouTube.
GTA 6 Map Found Too Realistic
Project owner Dark Space stated in his YouTube statement that he expected Take-Two’s move but was still surprised. “I think the map may have been found too realistic. I think it was perceived as a threat because it could spoil the surprise effect of the game,” he said. It is thought that the project was removed from publication due to concerns that it could disrupt GTA 6’s marketing plans.

Dark Space also stated that Take-Two did not send him any official notice, but he removed the download links himself to avoid possible legal action. He explained, “I removed the links to avoid further problems. However, I lost a month’s income in the process.”
Take-Two’s intervention sparked a huge debate in the GTA fan community. Some players criticized the company’s harsh stance against such fan-made projects, while expressing the opinion that these projects increase interest in the game. Dark Space expressed his reaction by saying, “These projects do not harm sales. On the contrary, they keep players excited. Companies need to understand this.”
