The First Trailer for the New Pixar Film Hoppers Has Arrived
Pixar’s highly anticipated new animated film, Hoppers, has released its first trailer. The story, which centers on scientists who transfer minds into robotic animals, follows a young animal lover’s efforts to protect nature through technology. The film, notable for its humorous and emotional scenes, combines Pixar’s classic style with a modern idea.
Hoppers Trailer Presents Events with Humor
In the trailer, a young scientist named Mabel takes over the body of a robotic beaver to stop a construction project that threatens the environment. The technology used in this scene, known as “mind-hop,” allows the characters to communicate directly with the animals. This experience, told through Mabel’s eyes, offers viewers a fun, sci-fi atmosphere.
The trailer features a playful scene showcasing how the characters use technology. Mabel’s line, “It’s just like Avatar,” and her subsequent response, “No, it’s not like Avatar,” humorously answer the audience’s questions and reflect the film’s tone. Director Daniel Chong says they intentionally highlighted this humorous approach.
The film’s voice cast is also noteworthy. Piper Curda voices Mabel, while Jon Hamm plays Mayor Jerry. Hamm’s comedic talent seems to shine in this film. Bobby Moynihan, known for his previous work at Pixar, will also be known for his comedic scenes.
According to director Daniel Chong, Hoppers maintains Pixar’s emotional and heartfelt storytelling while also featuring a strong dose of humor. The trailer’s action scenes, set to Missy Elliott’s “Lose Control,” reflect the film’s energetic and colorful world. The film is scheduled for release on March 6, 2026.
