The Keeper Trailer Has Been Released
Osgood Perkins, a rising figure in modern horror cinema, tells the story of a slowly escalating horror set in a single location in his new film, KEEPER. Starring Tatiana Maslany and Rossif Sutherland, the film centers on the dark forces a woman encounters when she finds herself alone in a cabin she’s escaped to for her anniversary. The trailer, released for the film, is terrifying with its atmosphere and leaves the audience immersed in the cabin’s chilling past.
Facing the Dark: The Keeper’s Story
The story of a couple who travel to a remote mountain cabin for an anniversary getaway takes a new turn when the husband (Sutherland) suddenly returns to the city. Suddenly alone, Liz (Maslany) is forced to confront the darkness lurking in the cabin’s past. All that remains is fear, silence, and secrets waiting to be unraveled.
The film’s official synopsis states that “a terrifying presence” Liz discovers in the cabin during her solitude reveals the cabin’s past. The various female figures seen in the trailer also suggest that the events unfold beyond a single period.
KEEPER’s cast also includes Tess Degenstein, Claire Friesen, and Christin Park. The film’s script is by Nick Lepard. The producers include Oddfellows, Elevation Pictures, and Range Media Partners. Director Perkins’ previous horror projects include The Blackcoat’s Daughter and Longlegs.
KEEPER, described by Perkins as “a relationship-based horror story,” plunges viewers into a tense, lonely state within a haunted setting. The film will be released in theaters on November 14th.
