The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Journey Moves to Spain

AMC’s new trailer offers the first comprehensive look at the third season of the Daryl Dixon series. The story begins on the French coast, where Daryl investigates the origins of the zombie outbreak, and now moves to a new chapter where he and Carol travel to Spain. The series’ narrative continues to explore post-apocalyptic environments in diverse regions, confronting familiar characters with new threats.

The third season has been announced to premiere on AMC and AMC+ on September 7, 2025, while production on the fourth season begins this month in Spain. The final season will reportedly consist of eight episodes, and these final episodes, featuring Norman Reedus as Daryl and Melissa McBride as Carol, will further deepen the emotional bond at the heart of the series.

In a statement, Norman Reedus stated that this journey is meaningful for both the character and the audience. “This finale isn’t a farewell; it’s a celebration of everything we shared,” the actor said, thanking the fans. Melissa McBride emphasized that the filming experience in Europe was exciting and that there are still many stories left to tell.

The series stands out for its structure that doesn’t limit The Walking Dead universe to America. The narrative, which expanded with Carol’s arrival in France in season two, will now continue in Spain, continuing to showcase the different faces of the apocalypse. With the new season, fans will witness a darker and more emotional phase in Daryl and Carol’s journey home.
