This Time You’re the Bad Side in Monolith: Rogue TD

In tower defense games, we’re usually on the defensive, but Monolith: Rogue TD completely breaks with that tradition. This time, players conquer worlds as the Monolith, the embodiment of destruction. As you spread your darkness in every battle, you must shape your strategy to prevail over the defenders.

Monolith: Rogue TD Brings a Dark Interpretation to Tower Defense

Monolith: Rogue TD reimagines the classic genre. Players summon three different tower types, each with unique attack styles, to confront the forces of light. But this time, the towers are there to destroy rather than defend. Each level’s changing terrain, diverging paths, and new structures force you to constantly rethink your strategy.

Random upgrades you encounter with each playthrough allow you to create different combinations. This allows you to strengthen both your towers and your darkness with each round. Each failure opens the door to a new strategy, and the game forces you to be more ruthless in your pursuit of victory.

Other notable elements of the game include procedurally generated worlds, dynamic enemy behavior, and a gradually increasing difficulty level. This means no two playthroughs are the same. Different paths, different enemies, and different tactical decisions await you with each new attempt.

While a definitive release date hasn’t been announced yet, Monolith: Rogue TD is planned for PC and Nintendo Switch. Even its trailer has captivated players, and the game is determined to transform the classic tower defense formula into a dark, upside-down tale. It seems this time, we’re not here to save the world, but to corrupt it.
