Trevor Wants to Die at the Beginning of GTA 6

One of the unforgettable characters of the Grand Theft Auto series, Trevor Phillips, was etched into the memory of players with his madness and tendency to violence in GTA 5. Steven Ogg, who brought Trevor to life, stated in a statement that he wanted his character’s story to end dramatically by making a short cameo in GTA 6. Ogg said, “Trevor being killed at the opening of GTA 6 would both be a thank you to the fans and make room for new stories.”

Trevor’s Role in GTA 6 Is Unclear

Steven Ogg stated that he did not have definite information about whether Trevor would appear in GTA 6. However, he said that he saw his character being killed at the beginning of GTA 6 as both a reference to his iconic scenes in GTA 5 and a dramatic start to the story. Ogg’s statement reminds us of the scene in GTA 5 where Trevor kills Johnny Klebitz, whom we know from the game Lost and Damned.

There is not much information about GTA 6, which Rockstar Games has only released a trailer for so far. It is known that the game will take place in Vice City and focus on two main characters with a Bonnie & Clyde twist, but it remains unclear whether the characters from GTA 5 will be included. If Trevor is included in the story, it is a matter of curiosity whether Steven Ogg’s wish will come true.

The Grand Theft Auto series has a history of including characters from previous games in new stories. However, the return of main characters is quite rare. For example, GTA 4’s main character Niko Bellic remained only as a figure mentioned in the background. Whether a similar approach will be adopted in GTA 6 is a matter of debate among players.
