Witchbrook Release Postponed to 2026, But New Details Are Here

Witchbrook, a charming RPG about a magical school life, was poised to captivate players when it was delayed once again. However, developer Chucklefish has spiced up the delay with new information that promises to turn it into excitement rather than disappointment. The postponement news, along with the release of information about the game’s development process, further demonstrates the studio’s meticulous approach to the project.

Witchbrook Map and New Customization Details Revealed

Chucklefish announced that Witchbrook has been postponed from its planned winter 2025 release date to 2026. The company stated that this decision was entirely a result of a quality-focused approach. The developers also announced a new blog post focusing on the game’s character customization system. The Mossport map, one of the most anticipated details for players, has finally been released.

The newly shared map showcases numerous areas that add depth to the Witchbrook universe. Areas like Shadhollow Forest, Parasol Sands, Student Village, Witchbrook College, and Shadbrook Cottage already evoke the game’s magical atmosphere. The map is designed to be interactive, allowing players to zoom in and out to explore the details.

Witchbrook is described as a social RPG that blends classic life simulations with a wizarding theme. Players will not only learn spells but also forge friendships, develop relationships, and progress towards graduation. In this respect, the game evokes both the peaceful atmosphere of Stardew Valley and the magical atmosphere of the Harry Potter universe.

Chucklefish has confirmed that the game is being developed for PC, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Switch 2. Although delayed until 2026, the development team aims to keep the Witchbrook community alive with new updates and content releases. It looks like the wait will be a bit longer, but a magical experience awaits.
