$10 Horror Game Is Free on Steam
Popular gaming platform Steam has added a new one to its free games. Steam is offering the 2022 horror game Golden Light to its users for free until February 24. If you add the game to your library by the specified date, you can keep it for free forever. Normally priced at $10.49, this game is in the “survival-horror FPS” genre and attracts attention with the “Very Positive” reviews it receives from Steam users.
Golden Light: An Impressive Horror Experience
Golden Light is described by its developer Mr. Pink and publisher HypeTrain Digital as an “improvised black comedy horror game.” In the game, players try to save their loved ones who are lost in a strange and spooky world called the “Meat Zone.” This game, which includes roguelike elements, stands out with its procedural structure that offers a different experience with each play.
The game has over 2,500 user reviews on Steam and has received 88% positive reviews. The user reviews of the game state that it “contains elements of sudden fear rather than psychological horror.” Offering a gameplay time of approximately 7-10 hours, Golden Light promises players an extraordinary atmosphere of fear.
Golden Light is also playable on Steam Deck, but it is not listed as a “Verified” game by Valve. This means that some additional settings may be required when running the game on Steam Deck. However, it is stated that the game can be played from beginning to end on a handheld device.
Users who want to get Golden Light for free must add the game to their Steam library by 21:00 on February 24, when the campaign ends. After this date, the game will return to its original price. Only 2 GB of free storage is required to play the game.
